Social Security Trust Report

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) has an article regarding the Social Security Trust Report for 2012 on their website located at http://www.ifebp.org/News/Regulatory+Updates/2012SocialSecurityMedicareTrusteesReports.htm. Trust assets for social security benefits for retirees, dependents, and the disabled are anticipated to be depleted by 2033.   I imagine that the news is not a surprise for most Americans.   It does amaze me that we have been discussing this as long as I can remember.  I will say it is wise for most individuals to save as much as they can and not expect to rely on social security.  Then, anything you do receive from the program is icing on the cake!
