DOL Releases YouTube Videos for 401(k) Participants

With the upcoming fee disclosures, the Department of Labor (DOL) released two youtube videos aimed at 401(k) plan participants.  The first video located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_4Tf_pzv00&feature=youtu.be, has Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis giving a brief overview and referring to release of the second video.  I particularly appreciate how Ms. Solis emphasizes the value of transparency for 401(k) fees for plan participants.  The second video provides a graphic explanation of the potential impact of fees on a participant’s 401(k) plan account and is located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkXAEHuwnM4&feature=youtu.be.  In addition, the video references an explanation guide located on their website at http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/publications/401k_employee.html.  All of these DOL items are great  resources for employers to make their plan participants aware of with the upcoming disclosures.
