Retirement Plan Minimum Distributions Part III

As the end of year approaches, participants who are required to take their minimum required distributions and are not eligible for the April first year extension, will need to make sure they do before year-end. The IRS has added a nice minimum distribution resource chart to their website, RMD Comparison Chart (IRAs vs. Defined Contribution Plans). Located at http://www.irs.gov/Retirement-Plans/RMD-Comparison-Chart-(IRAs-vs.-Defined-Contribution-Plans), the chart discusses the laws deadlines and calculations for minimum distributions for qualified retirement plans and IRA’s.
