DC Plan 2013 Participant Activity

An interesting study was released indicating that participants remained on course in their retirement savings last year.  The article, “ICI Defined Contribution Plan Recordkeeper Data Show Continued Commitment to Retirement Saving” by Targeted News Service is located at http://www6.lexisnexis.com/publisher/EndUserAction=UserDisplayFullDocument&orgId=2778&topicId=100023346&docId=l:2061865047&Em=7&start=1.  The article notes only a negligible change in participants who stopped deferring and noted little change in withdrawal activity.  I did find it noteworthy that they indicated that loan activity levels remained high, likely due to overall domestic economic problems.
